Merge-in-Transit is a logistics management tool that allows you to stage the simultaneous delivery of shipments from different origin points. Once a Merge-in-Transit project is completed, you may monitor that status of the various shipments with a single project identification number.

The following information provides a step-by-step guide on how to use this feature as well as a list of common questions.

Step by Step Guide
To access this feature, you must be logged on to the site. You may request a password or logon now.
  1. The Previous Merge-in-Transit section allows you to select from a previous project or enter an existing Merge ID to view a current Merge-in-Transit project. This ID is not necessary to begin a new project; the system will assign one for you.
  2. The Requestor Contact Information, Destination for Merge Shipments, and Delivery for Merged Shipments sections must be completed. Once these sections are completed, click Enter First Shipment to continue.
  3. Enter a pro number to add an existing shipment to the project in the Select an Existing Shipment section, or enter the origin information for a new shipment in the Enter a New Shipment section.
  4. Loading Order allows you to choose the order that the shipments will be delivered.
  5. Click Save & Enter Next Shipment to save your current entry and begin your next shipment. Click Save & View Summary to save your current entry and view the summary of all shipments in your Merge-in-Transit project. Click View Summary at any time to view the summary page. If no shipments have been entered, View Summary will return you to the Merge-in-Transit start page.
  6. Two shipments must be entered before a Merge-in-Transit project can be created. Once two shipments have been entered, the Complete Merge option will appear at the bottom of the Merge-in-Transit Summary page and may be selected to create the new Merge-in-Transit project. Click Start Over to cancel the current project and return to the Merge-in-Transit start page.
  7. Click Complete Merge to create the new Merge-in-Transit project. However, you can still make changes by selecting Make Changes.
  8. Using the links provided below, submit a pickup request and create a bill of lading for each new shipment. You will have the option to e-mail the pickup request and/or bill of lading to each origin or other parties. If you do not use the online pickup request and/or bill of lading, the Merge ID must be included in the special instructions of the bill of lading.
  9. Using the Merge ID, you may track the progress of your Merge-in-Transit project at the Merge-in-Transit start page or via the Tracking & E-Mail Notification page.
